Just received the latest Uniformology title – The Westphalian Army of the Napoleonic wars by Philip Cranz. Book No 40.
It is okay for what it is, but the quality seems to have been reduced somewhat, in that the paper used seems thinner and more flimsy than in other titles.
I wanted Westphalian uniforms, so I was fairly happy with it until I compared to the other title I ordered – The Army of Wurttemberg in the Napoleonic Wars by Bruce Bassett-Powell. Book No 14.
The Wurttemburg title is twice as thick but was available for the same price as the Westphalian booklet, so I'm glad I ordered both.
To be honest, I feel both titles are a bit pricy, considering their size and quality, but still great little booklets, so I suppose, if, like me, you don't own too much on the Westphalian Army (or the Wurttemburg Army), uniform wise, they are both worth getting hold of.
And I would certainly like to thank Caliver Books for their extremely quick service. I posted the order on Thursday, which meant they didn't receive it until Friday or Saturday and they were delivered on Monday. Can't get much better than that.
