Depending on your choice of bits, the riders are 4-5 parts each and the horses 3-7 parts each.

That horse armour might feel a bit fiddly, but once you get the hang of it the assembly work becomes more straightforward. And the end result looks very good.

I came to wargaming from a IPMS plastic modelling background, any with less than a couple of hundred parts looks simple to me.

Huh, am I seeing things or do the sprues and horse layouts look exactly like the Conquest Games Norman cavalry?

Well, the sprues for both the Perrys and Conquest have been tooled by Renedra, which might explain similarities in layout.
