Anyone have a source for information on these – what unit/aircraft type and when? I'm repainting some 1/144 21st century FW 190's….

Excellent, thanks! I didn't realize they came in so late – obviously I don't need to worry about them for my late 43/early 44 campaign time frame

You could try automotive pin striping; I used it successfully to do invasion stripes on 1/72 gliders
