The game schedule is filling fast – if you really want
to schedule a game, or register for the convention,
go here

link

mouseover the 'Southern Front' and use the appropriate
element of the drop-down menu.

And don't forget the FoW National qualifier to be run
on Saturday.

Raffle items are on-hand – I'll try to get some pix
up later this week !

Y'ALL COME !

And apologies, I forgot -

The registration for hotel rooms at the con price
ENDS ON 9/11/2012 (just a coincidence !).

So if you're going to stay at the hotel, get that
reservation in NOW !

The North Raleigh Hilton rocks. The rooms are good, and the Mrs has the facilities like the indoor pool to hang out at while I'm gaming.

The TSS runs a great show and the vendors are top notch, too.

I will be there with my brand spanking new Perryville terrain; finished this weekend. Looking forward to it.

I'll be running a Bolt Action game, Normandy, June, 1944, US paratroopers vs. German Fallschirmjagers for control of a small village.

The game list is awesome:

What's not awesome is the organization of the Flames or War tournament. As in: there doesn't seam to be any. The info packet is for last year and last edition and the e-mails to everyone listed on the website, including the tournament organizer and the TriangleSimSociety's webmaster, are all bouncing.

Ya'll, when the e-mail addy to your WEBMASTER is bouncing, that's Bleeped text creek.

It's too bad, that was my main draw for going. I was planning on coming up and even my wife wanted to come too! I'm not going to drive up and stay overnight to risk going to something that's being so badly mishandled.

Duncan, sorry you are experiencing problems.

Here is the FoW tournament info as it appears on the
site. It is current, not last year's:

" Southern Front's Flames of War Regional Qualifier!

Date: October 13, 2012 (Saturday – 3 rounds)

Location: Hilton – North Raleigh, 3415 Wake Forest Rd. Raleigh, NC 27609-7330

Period: Mid War

Points: 1500

Players: 24 maximum

Details: There is no additional fee to enter the tournament. Either the full weekend or the one day convention admission allows you to play in the tournament in addition to having full access to the rest of the convention! By playing in the tournament, you will also earn three (3) tickets to be used in our raffle. Additional raffle tickets are available for purchase also.

The tournament will also have plenty of loot up for grabs! Details are still being worked out and a more detailed list will be published in the future.

Please find all of the tournament rules here: Rules Packet

You can sign up through this website by going to the FOW Tournament registration page. You can access it from the tabs at the top of this page.

If you have additional questions please e-mail the tournament coordinator.

That's it for now! Hope to see you there!"

I've sent an e-mail to the tourney organizer and he
informs me that the info packet is available on the
FoW forum and also on the website, as you can
see from the info above.

I've emailed each of the e-dresses you cite and DID NOT
get a bounce, and have received many e-mails from
folks registering to attend and/or registering events
to be run at the con.

I'm sorry you seem to be having some issues with the
e-mails – if there is anything specific which can be
done, PLMK and we will see to it right quick.

We have lots of friends from South Carolina joining
us, and I hope you'll reconsider.
