The Gong Garage Gamers played Maurice for the first time last night. We didn't allow our almost total lack of suitable figures to prevent us from having a good time. link |

Thanks for posting Alan. The mighty Riskovian forces are far more photogenic than I expected
(You have been very tactful about my decision to attempt an intricate deployment manoeuvre right in front of the Austrian lines and our subsequent drubbing, thank you!) |

Ouch, three infantry units charged down in road column! Pay attention next time Ralph. I like this system, it's about the capability (the cards) employing the effect (the troops) correctly. It is quite an intellectual jump for some players who want to use their cards in turn one hoping to stomp all over the enemy only to find they run out of steam very quickly. Card management is everything. The blu-tac basement system really added to the panorama of those Riskovians. |

We are planning to have some 'real' troops for the game; we were just keen to try it out and used what we had. (A Risk set gives enough 10mm figures for a couple of small armies, by the way. And they look like they'd paint up nicely too.) |

Hi Royal – it gives me confidence that you approve of these rules – I was going to go gently on this one, but the locals are going all 28mil on me!!!! |
