We will be trying out new Sneaker Rules at the HOTT Berkeley 2012 Tournament

Sneakers don't often get a look-in in Hordes of the Things armies as they don't do much for 3AP apart from being able to pass through friends and enemies.

These rule changes allow them to a) operate outside the general's command radius and b) give "non-army units" a kicking

The following Sneaker amendments will apply on the weekend:

1. Sneakers always only cost 1 pip to move either as a group of sneakers or single sneaker. Even if the general is lost.

2. Elements of 3ap or more, and generals or Strongholds, may not ignore adverse combat results vs sneakers. This includes frontal combat outcomes and destruction due to being hit in the flank or the rear by a sneaker.

The standard Glory day changes will also apply.

Shooters move 200 paces

Warbands move 300 paces

The tournament is being held on 1st & 2nd September 2012 at The Tudor Arms, Slimbridge, Gloucester, GL2 7BP

So your not talking about shoes. This english vs english thing can be a bit confusing. I'm speaking about the difference between our use of language.

The shoe nickname of "sneakers" was actually named after the fabled troop name choice of Phil Barker, and an element of Hobbits converted to wear tennis-style shoes for stealth.

Well thank you Mr. Gonk. It's good to learn something new every day. You've been a real help on that.
