Hi Tango01 Yes, I bought a copy a few years back. I remember being very pleased with it and it gained some good reviews on Amazon UK. It contains a good text, some excellent maps, 3D images, colour and black and white prints and photos, plus OOB's for both sides. Considering there isn't that much out there covering Toulon, it is well worth having. I would certainly recommend it. |

I also have a copy of this book and agree with Gazzola. It's worth the money. You get a basic, comprehensive understanding of the siege, and enough details to prepare simple scenarios. |

I agree with other posters, the book is very useful starting point for the study of the campaign. I have been particularly interested in the assault on Fort Mulgrave in Dec 1793, link I have found, in looking at some of the other sources, a few errors with regard to the Orders of Battle given on both sides. With respect to the attack on Fort Mulgrave, the involvement of the 30th Foot is particularly overlooked. Furthermore the actual positions of the redoubts on the Caire Peninsular do not match up to the information given in other sources or the actual geography. Nonetheless I wouldn't be without my copy.
