There was a lavishly illustrated book published in connection with the 1971 celebration/parade, which at the time was used as a source for a number of wargame figure ranges.

Like any collection of reconstructions, of course, there is plenty to debate regards their probable authenticity …

They also modeled the towers, uniforms etc for a very lavish parade – The US Military (Armish Maag) published a newsletter there the Pressian Press that carried photos of it.

Agree that as with many sources there are always questions of authenticity – But for me this balances some of the other sources and give me some additional choices

I was under the impression that the wildly colorful Osprey Elite on the persians was based in part on these paintings.
