Just curious to see how they went. It looks like there were tons of people signed up to play in their Sailpower, 15mm naval games, ahead of time. I really like the look of the new, smaller boats (two sloops, and a cutter design). They certainly appear nice, and are a lot more affordable in this economy. Were their scenarios to play, or just a free-for-all battle between the captains of the various vessels? Any news or anticipated date on the 2.0 rules release, and/or the RPG and treasure hunting rules to go with the game? Of course, new pics of the events would be appreciated as well. |

Hello, I was the gamemaster who ran the Sailpower events at Gencon. We had a lot of players: many of games during the day were sold out, and our evening games were well attended also. For many of the games, we had 3 factions: British Royal Navy, Pirate, and Dutch Royal Navy. The two Royal Navies were at war with each other, and everyone was after the Pirates. In a couple of games, we nominated some players as "Pirate Hunters" whose job was to hunt down the Pirates. A picture gallery from Gencon is available on our Facebook page at: facebook.com/SailpowerGame - "Dread Pirate" Captain Ed |

Thanks for the info Ed. I was wondering if it would be every person for themselves, or some sort of team aspect to the games. I like the three-sided scenario. Sounds like a good one, and a bit different than the usual fare. Thanks for the info, and link to the photos. I'll check them out. |
