I recently found a great source in the USA for photo-etched ratlines for my 1/600 scale ACW ships. The company is called Battlefleet Models and I picked up their BFM 7-P1. These are listed as 1/700 scale, but they look good for Bay Area Yards and Thoroughbred models. The service was also fantastic … very quick and they take PayPal. You can find them at this link:

I used an appropriate design of net curtain, dyed black. Considerably cheaper.

I've used the Atlantic ones for years, but these look like they might be more flexible for larger ships like Hartford.

Thanks for the tip!

Your welcome Lucius. It was pictures of your models that inspired me to try my hand at putting rigging and ratlines on my civil war ships.

Yeah Lucius is evil. ;)

I was all happy until I saw pictures of his ships. Now here I am rigging and putting ratlines on my ships. I still can't compare to his, but mine are looking better.

Thanks for the push.
