Do any of you collect antique figures? There is a collectible shop next to the place I'm working in and the shop window there are displays of some of his wears. He has what I guess lots of 54mm"s (Later next week I'll stop in for more info), flats, and quite a few ships. I asked him if he had a web site or he knew about TMP but he said no on both questions. One of the few questions I asked him was about the ships. He said the battleship in shop case was a replica and was worth 50$, the ships in the window, a aircraft carrier and a few freighters, and a destroyer were less. I plan to stop in again to find out how much a few Napoleonic era figures are worth. |

Sounds like the store across the street from me here in Germany! Lots of old Lienol wwii figs, old 1200th ships, Dinkys (some in original boxes
stock from a store that went under decades ago) trains and built plastic buildings at awesome prices, etc. A cornocopia of great old stuff! "Alt Spielware" is the name IIRC, next to Netto. Tom |

Tell him to take the painted pieces out of his windows, over time the sun will fade them. |

Stopped back in today, He has a set of Elastoriin en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elastolin figures from the 1930's. It is a 17 pcs set with a field howitzer and crew, 2 telephone poles with a worker climbing one, officers, medics, wounded and many other types of soldiers and don't think any two were the same. They are around 54mm and in WWI dress and I think British at least the helmets were as opposed to German ones. With all the eye candy my notes are incomplete. I didn't write down the price but I think is goes for 375 to 395$ All these are 54mm or close to it. A Greek Guard set with 7pcs in their white fustanella uniforms goes for 95$, the 8 pcs Scotch Guards was 115$ and a 7pcs unit which intrigued me are in grey uniforms with white cross belts looking Napoleonic era but with short shakos and short plumes but out of my price range at 95$ |

14Bore are these the Napoleonic looking figures uniforms?
These are US Army military academy cadets at West Point. The uniform is popular with collectors, for some reason. |
