Hello All, I am looking for any source for pictures of the flags carried by the US Infantry at the time of the Little Big Horn. I know regiments carried a regimental (blue) and a state color (stars and stripes). There were officially 37 stars on the flag (Colorado was added in 1876, but the flag was not ammended immediately). Does anyone know a good site or source for pictures of both the regimental and stars and stipes? I have one great picture of the 4th regeiments stars and stripes, but it has 38 stars (Colorado), so is at least 1877. Thank you in advance. |
