Can anyone recommend a good book on the history of Medieval France, looking from 700ish to 1300?

I like 'Feudal Society' by Marc Bloch link but it's not a narrative history of the entire period. Another I really like is 'The Murder of Charles the Good' by Galbert of Bruges link. Again not a history of the period, rather just of an incident during the period, but great for feeling like you were there. Perhaps someone else will give you a suggestion that covers the entire period but I think these are a great if you really have an interest in the period.

I'd also suggest Capetian France 987-1328 by Elizabeth Hallam and Judith Everard (2001).
