That is cool. I wish they would have updated and released a new board game, but the iPad version is fine with me. |

Cool but not much of a trailer. I hate it when companies do that. |

I played this with my daughter on Sunday!! Still a good, simple dungeon crawl. |

Oh $Phone, yeah that suits GW, you need overpriced tech for their overpriced products. |

Oh $Phone, yeah that suits GW What's the alternative? Put it on Android and have it "run" as well as Privateer Press' War Room app? |

What's the alternative? Put it on Android and have it "run" as well as Privateer Press' War Room app? I love seeing logical fallacies in action. Talk about a false dilemma. |

The ipad format means I'll never play it. Also, Hunters 2 relies on additional purchases for some functions, which is a further turn off likely to make the game even less attractive. |

Hopes raised, then crushed. I don't use the iPhone, do not intend to use the iPhone, and am now wishing that the boardgame was really coming back. The Auld Grump, bitter, bitter is my sorrow

Oh $Phone, yeah that suits GW, you need overpriced tech for their overpriced products. Yes, because your international business with hundreds of stores, two factories, multiple warehouses, your own line of paints and a subsidiary company as well as tens of thousands of employees world wide topped off with a demanding logistics chain is running so well for that reasonable $1.45 USD (Approx.) per infantry figure. Oh wait
. Agreed on the iPhone though
.I never understood the appeal of apple products when there are hundreds of more user friendly products that you don't have to sell your first born to obtain let alone sign your soul away to operate. |

$1.45 USD a figure? Even the plastics cost more than that. Significantly more for some armies. Retail on a box of 20 Night Goblins, one of the cheapest, is now $35 USD, or $1.75 USD each. A box of 12 Chaos Warriors is also $35 USD, or $2.92 USD a figure. We won't even discuss the pricing of the single character model prices, especially now with the "Finecast" pricing. Fine for them I suppose! GW is trying to price themselves out of the market it seems, due to the huge cost hurdle that starting a new army brings with it. |

GW is trying to price themselves out of the market it seems, due to the huge cost hurdle that starting a new army brings with it. All the geniuses on TMP have been saying this for 10 years. GW is still there. But you all know better

Very sad that warhammer quest is not really coming back, just a game on a phone. -Paul |

I'm not trying to derail this message thread, but I think there is a legitimate issue with Games Workshop's ever-increasing pricing. When you raise prices at a rate significanly faster than the rise in the cost of living, you are going to lose customers, period. I think back to the cost of a basic blister pack of figures around 15-20 years ago; $8.99 USD for 4 basic figures, or $2.25 USD a figure. Plastics were much cheaper, in some cases less than a dollar a figure. Now the plastics cost as much as the old pewter figures, but character models and the rules themselves have increased dramatically. Maybe teenagers and college-aged kids have more disposable income now, but they also have more competition for those dollars. GW, through ever-increasing prices (even during a recession), is making their competition a better option for people to spend their money on. I don't claim to be a genius, but those are my thoughts on the matter. |

@timlillig: Which parts of Hunters 2 require IAP's? I was able to complete the game without buying anything besides the actual app itself. |

"What's the alternative?"
. oh, you know, play a game around a table with some friends, using miniatures, etc
etc

I have an iPad and more games for it are welcome. The arguing over the platforms is not an issue that should be argued on this forum. If you don't want to buy apple or android platforms then don't. If you have apple product good for you and if you have an android one good for you also. -M |
