Oh dear. I am sure I shall watch it if it comes on any of the free channels, but I fear what it will become. I find the concept of a king of the Viking tribes easier to swallow than referring to someone as 'Earl Haraldson', which no Viking would ever have done. I realise that patronymic surnames can be confusing to some, but a little research would quickly show how they were used in Old Norse literature and presumably in the Viking Age. I dread the whole thing and yet I am strangely attracted to it.

Well it looks like it will be as historically accurate as Spartacus Blood and Sand but might be worth a watch.
