I started a new project and was looking over TSATF Darkest Africa rules. I was considering making a few minor mods to the rules and wanted some input from TMP. 1. Should shields offer some kind of saving throw versus spears, arrows and blowgun darts? 2. Should there be modifer for soldiers / askaris with bayonets versus those that don't have bayonets? 3. Should poisoned arrows and darts auto kill instead of wounding? |

1. Yes 2. Yes, but only if they are trained for its use. 3. I wouldn't think so, from what I understand most poisons used took awhile to take effect. |

Pehaps give them a turn or two before they die of poison. |

What would be a reasonable save for a shield versus non firearm missile weapons? When it comes to poison I was considering making it impossible to recover poisoned wounded at the end of the game for an ongoing campaign. |
