Would the ethiopian armies of the XVI Century (when they fought alongside the portuguese against Adal) look the same as their XIX Century armies? If not, what would be the differences? Also, did the ethiopians ever field armored cavalry or infantry?

Nevermind, saw a small exerpt of the "Field of Glory: Cities of Gold" book (http://www.amazon.com/Cities-Gold-Americas-1494-1698-Renaissance/dp/1849082359/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1345097458&sr=8-7&keywords=Field+of+glory+renaissance), and looks like it has all the information I need!
