I reached a bit of a crossroad with my ImagiNation project over the last couple of days. My current army organizational structure does not lend itself very well for Maurice, so it was about time I updated my project.

I love the fact that I based all of my figures on ether 25mm circles or 25x50mm pill bases for Cavalry. It made the transition very simple and I can always rework how I organize my army depending on who I play against.

In anycase, I've moved to a regiment and battalion system. Each regiment is comprised of two battalions, each one forming a unit within the constraints of Maurice. 16 figures including command broken down into four "companies" of four models each and movement trays of 60mm by 60mm for each battalion. Not only does it make it very simple to represent the different formations, having every base size the same makes movement a synch.

Here is the first fully reorganized and completed unit for my army:

Primo Battaglione di Reggimento di Fanteria di Sambuca
Figures: Crusader USA

Your plan should work well using the "sabot" movement trays to a size compatible with the Maurice setup.

Not for Maurice but Sharp Practice IIRC but along these lines would look fine:

Yup, using those kinds of movement trays, but 2x2 instead of the normal 4x2 that I was using previously.
