Here is the QRF T-80B. It is a nice model.

John the OFM13 Aug 2012 12:53 p.m. PST

This is absurd that I should have to turn off Modern Product Reviews just to NOT have other topics I was following forced off the page.

KINDLY KNOCK IT OFF!!!!!!!

KINDLY KNOCK IT OFF!!!!!!!

Fully on your side John but terrorism has won again.

I am headed over to deselect "Modern" until Bill can announce the "All Clear"

Create a blog or separate web site and just post the link instead of all these separate posts.

Who made OFM king of TMP? Keep on posting to your hearts content. Your not breaking any rules and your posts are informative.

FAQ:

People are posting about something stupid. Can I tell them to shut up?
No. They have the right to talk, and you have the right to read (or not read) their posts. [SHUT-UP RULE]

corvettek22513 Aug 2012 3:58 p.m. PST

Thank you AB.

David

John the OFM13 Aug 2012 7:10 p.m. PST

I did not say "Shut up!"
I said "knock it off!"

Big difference.

"Shut up!" means that something the target said is offensive, and I am trying to silence him.

That is different from objecting to a … practice.

chuck05 Fezian13 Aug 2012 7:33 p.m. PST

Its a question of semantics John. Like What the meaning of is is. Telling someone to knock it off is a form of silencing them.

His posts were helpful and visually appealing. Each one had pics from multiple angles that would be difficult to put in a single post. I found them quite useful.

If there were post you wnted to follow why not store them in your favorites and then delte them when you were done with them?

Personally I find Armand's (Tangoo1 many daily cryptic posts irritating but I am not about to tell him not to do post. If you want to do that take the time and effort to set up and admin your own site. Or simply ignore the offending posts.

John,

I have decided to answer your last post since you have taken the time to back-track rather than read and think.

No, you did not say, "knock it off!" as you now claim, rather you actually said, "KINDLY KNOCK IT OFF!!!!!!!"

We have all been on the Internet long enough to know that an all caps message is done to emphasize the tone, or to even go so far as to be read as shouting. You even added seven exclamation marks to increase your emphasis. No need to seek out a hidden meaning there, eh?

I know John, I'm a moron so you will now stifle me. Isn't that what you said before, "Morons stifle me, and I stifle morons"?

I wish QRF would have pictures like this on their own site.

corvettek22513 Aug 2012 7:58 p.m. PST

Greg B,
I must agree with you. QRF has some pictures, but they are all too sporadic. It would be nice to see infantry pics as well. I know pictures are all added expense and time when maintaining a webstore, but it is no longer the age where bland price lists are the norm.

Oh, good grief…

Mako1113 Aug 2012 10:42 p.m. PST

I love seeing all of the detailed pics of the vehicles.

They look great, and are well lighted.

Perhaps QRF should hire him to do pics of their infantry as well.

Well done, and thanks for posting all of these.

Cyclops13 Aug 2012 10:54 p.m. PST

Like I said here TMP link
'No he's not. Excellent photos of vehicles does not a spammer make. Don't see why he should stop posting reviews of modern products on the Modern Product Reviews board. If they were all puff pieces for his own models then I'd have a problem.'
There are plenty of people who post totally irrelevant rubbish all over the place. Louie N isn't one of them.

Angel Barracks13 Aug 2012 11:30 p.m. PST

No it does not.

I can reply with 'shut up' to people saying how nice I am.
Calling someone nice is not offensive but I can still tell them to shut up, and that is against the rules.

I'm sure you would prefer me spending my time developing new toys like this though… :-)

Did someone mention the T.O.Y. word??? Hmmm???

corvettek22514 Aug 2012 4:15 a.m. PST

Geoff,
Does this pic mean that you are entering the arena of 3D printed masters? :-)

David

corvettek22514 Aug 2012 4:18 a.m. PST

How does that saying go, "…and remove all doubt?"

I can neither confirm nor deny…. ;-)

I can reply with 'shut up' to people saying how nice I am.

I think the correct syntax for this usage is "oh, shut up", turning the phrase into a modest batting away of fulsome praise.

corvettek22514 Aug 2012 5:04 a.m. PST

Geoff,
This is excellent "un-news"! :-) I think the folks at BF/FOW recently learned a lesson the hard way, it takes good products/product-improvement along with good customer service to continue to grow a business.

David

GeoffQRF14 Aug 2012 5:11 a.m. PST

Well those 3 above have taken me about 2 weeks worth of evenings to create (they are my first ever 3D creations) so if I can get the print at a quality and cost that I like…

DocMagus14 Aug 2012 5:53 a.m. PST

GO Louie! keep them comming.

axabrax14 Aug 2012 7:04 a.m. PST

This is basically an ad, right? Or should I say several dozen ads? Pretty selfish to post this way rather than combining them all with links in one post. I can see the OFM is already frothing!

GeoffQRF14 Aug 2012 7:06 a.m. PST

Nope, not an ad at all. He is not in any way associated with QRF (and has actually posted details of other manufacturers products too) and we have no association with this posting.

Just someone posting up pictures.

No longer sure whether to laugh or cry at the state of the TMP "community" – I use that word quite wrongly there….

I love detailed pics like this … John … take your meds … wink Posting pics of AFV models on "The Minatures Page" … who would have thought !?!?!? evil grin

WarrenB14 Aug 2012 11:19 a.m. PST

Weeelll… I admit I was a bit miffed when I saw the long string of posts, but now I figure Louie got 'em all out of the way in one go. Unlike some other TMPers…

Chuckaroobob14 Aug 2012 11:46 a.m. PST

Pictures of tanks. Lots of them. Not an issue for me. But then again, I like tanks.

Whichever, just be certain it is hysterically, it's the only way you'll get it out of your system…

Turning off the modern reviews is an excellent solution to what is a problem for some. This website has excellent personalisation options.

I am delighted to see high quality photos of models. They are most welcome. If only the boards were more "cluttered" with them.

Jemima Fawr26 Aug 2012 8:02 a.m. PST

Keep up the good work Louie.

John, you don't run TMP. And call me old-fashioned, but I find it nice to see pictures and reviews of models on The MINIATURES Page.
