For those who didn't know, Reaper is currently running a Kickstarter campaign. Their goal, if I understand correctly is to produce a variety of models for their DH Bones line. At Vampire level, you get a little over 100 figures for 100$ USD that's not bad considering some of these figures are pretty big…

The $100 USD level has become the sweet spot for this Kickstarter. It was less so early on, but the goals keep adding to the $100 USD (and related $200 USD) level.

I am in on the Vampire ($100) level and a WHOLE bunch of the extras… I got in a LONG time ago and thought it was a great deal. It gets better and better every day!
Ebonwraith dragon for $10 USD… sheesh. I bought 2!

I love the 18$ paint add on. 12 paints for 18$, yes please!

For under $200 USD (including options) I think I can permanently fulfill all my fantasy figure needs just about forever…

Yeah I got this to basically fill out all the heroes and monsters I might want, without paying $4 USD for garbage and $6 USD-$12 for decent human and big guys, and $60 USD for large monsters. There's enough critters to keep a dungeon crawl going indefinitely, including and exceeding almost everything to replace the Heroquest plastics.

I'm debating the metal for a year but have some worries that seem unfounded based on conversations on the ole Reaper boards.

If you're uncertain about the material, go down to your FLGS and spend @ $2 USD US for one of the characters that have been released and paint him up. If you don't like it, you're not out very much. If you do like it, I heartily recommend the kickstarter, the bundle has gotten to a silly level of generous.

Yeah, heading into the final 10 days, the Vampire pledge gives you a ridiculous swag of fantasy, some horror, a little sci-fi and some cross-genre lunacy. The optional add ons will keep you in giant monsters for the rest of your life.

I couldn't resist anymore and pledged today. How is that you can add the extras to your pledge? I don't see an option for adding that under Manage Pledge?

Love the idea, very happy it has taken off beyond what they hoped for! Unfortunately, my needs dictate I vote/pledge with retail purchases, specific to my needs (I am finally building a Kobold army that I have wanted for 20+ years). Really looking forward to what they produce in this line! They might be steering the industry into a whole new direction… Cheers!

Sgt Slag that exactly why I love the bones I finally got the kobold army I've always wanted.

"How is that you can add the extras to your pledge?"

You increase your pledge amount by the amount of the extra(s) you want to get, then they send you a 'survey' after the KS is funded where you can list the extras you paid extra for

(okay, that was confusing…. ;-)

I can't wait till these launch in March. I'm going to get me some Nova Corps and IMEf guys and a cyborg gorilla in plastic for a lot less than I would in metal.

SWEET! Gaming is BACK baby! No more buying FFG big box sets just to raid for plastics! (not um that I um…did that…er…). No more buying unloved clickies by the bucketful on e-bay (THAT'S A TOTAL LIE OF COURSE).

I was pretty skeptical of the Bones material (this Kickstarter seemed too good to be true), so picked up a Bones figure to test paint just as Rubber Suit suggested. I also did my best to set the figure up to "fail" (no primer, bending the figure to the extremes after painting). I was pretty impressed by the results. Posted my review on my blog for anyone else a little wary of pledging.

P.S. You should pledge. They are awesome.
