Some more Iraqi army soldiers painted up. My matt varnish problems have resurfaced and the 3 brands that I had at home, Vallejo, Coat d'arms and Tamiya all made the shiny surface worse. Really gave me a headache. Will order and try out the army painter brush on varnish which I have heard is supposed to be good. This is getting ridiculous.

Nice stuff. And I love the 28mm fellow with the beard. What figure is that?

I am not sure what your problems were with varnish. Don't brush coat Dull Coat onto figures you painted with vallejo paints they will tend to smear. Testors Dull Coat in the spray can is the best. Having said that you cannot use dull coat spray on high humidity days or it will tend to become cloudy on the figure. If using Army painter dullcoat In the Large can on your figures you need to be careful of the volume of spray you are adding or again it will lighten the figures….Best of Luck.

When i lived in the temperate north I used to use the wifes hairdryer to 'bake' the varnish to stop it going shiny…..don't have the problem now I live in a desert.
