Next size question as I work my way through inventorying current armies and planning purchases….
Currently all of my limbers and caissons are MiniFigs. Guns are a mix of MiniFigs & Battle Honors. I find these are very compatible -- gun carriages, wheel diameters & wheel thickness are pretty close in size. I want to keep the equipment as closely matched as possible.
But I really don't like the MiniFig 3rd gen limber teams.
I presume Battle Honors limbers are likely to be compatible since they should have the same wheels as the guns. Do they match well next to MiniFigs?
How about the Old Glory ones, anything noticably different between them and BH?
Are either Old Glory or Battle Honors limbers and caissons a better match with MF 2nd gen?
Do Naismith limbers, teams or 6 pdrs match MF?
Any other likely candidates, especially ones that sell limbers and teams separately?
Same questions on cavalry compatibility with MF 2nd gen, whose horses are a good size & heft match. Particularly curious about any difference between Old Glory and Battle Honors.
I've currently got a tiny sample order of Lancashire foot and horse on the way. After that crosses the ocean, I'll probably send off for a few Naismith & Roundway packs too.
