I am starting work on a Libyan Egyptian army and have a choice of how to represent the general in his chariot. I can go with a very Egyptian looking Pharaoh type guy or a more Libyan Meshwesh type looking guy. Does anyone have any information or thoughts on which would be the better choice for this army? Thanks, Terry |

I would go with Egyptian look. Based on evidence later conquerors adapted Egyptian look. |

If they are to fight your Egyptians, I'd try a Meshwesh look, as the Libyans were allied with the Sea Peoples vs Egypt during the 3rd Intermediate period. |

What do you mean, Libyan Egyptian? The guys from the XXIIth to XXIVth dynasty (ca. 950-800 BC)? If so, their leaders and most of them were fully egyptianized, so an Egyptian looking king is nice. Be aware though that we don't have yet any pictorial evidence of this period's army. |

The Libyan allies in my Egyptian army are dressed traditionaly, but the leaders I've done as Egyptians, don't know how accurate this is but I like the look. |
