Hi, A few years back my paperback and magazine collection was decimated by a flood, when they were stored in cardboard boxes in a "safe" basement during a move
For a long time I just wrote them off in disgust, but having recently rediscovered the survivors, I thought I would check on the status and availability of back issues. My main interest is the old "Empires Eagles & Lions" magazine, which I had in an almost complete run (over 100 issues) and now have only a couple dozen left. My understanding is that they ceased publication with 131. Does anybody know of a source of these? Other titles of interest are First Empire, Napoleon, and The Age of Napoleon. Does anybody know the eventual print run info, or availability of these? Thanks! Christopher |

Chris: I have the same problem with my magazines after my house fire. I tossed most of my magazines. You can still purchase all the 'Napoleon' issues at napoleon-journal.com The Wargame Vault sells digital copies of the Courier and MWAN. I been slowly repurchasing them. As for EE&L, that was the one I kept eventhough most of them are black with soot on the outside. I store them in plastic comic book bags. I try and purchase them when I go to Cold Wars, Historicon, etc. Good luck, Dale |

Some issues of Age Of Napoleon are still available from Caliver Books. First Empire is here: firstempire.net/indexmn.htm Empires Eagles & Lions – first series ran for about 118 issues in it's booklet format, switched to a glossy magazine for another 14 issues and then changed into "Napoleon' mag for about 17 issues. The first run was done by RAFM in Canada, the rest by Emperor's Press. Best bet for back issues is probably e-bay ?? Or here for Napoleon: link |

Thanks for the info guys. I had forgotten the relationship between EE&L and Napoleon. It looks like I'm only missing #1-5 of the glossy EE&L, and #15 of Napoleon, but I only have a small stack of the booklets. Still, a good place to start, finishing off the newer runs. Cheers, Christopher |

Well, just ordered Napoleon #15. It's great that First Empire is offered digitally, but at 3.50 GBP per issue it might take a while to re-stock. Will scour e-bay next! |
