Mes Amis,
-----
Are there FRENCH memoirs of the French cavalry charges versus the British at Minden? It is important to read their story.

Bill, I 'googled' this question in French and this may help (although it is in French). It would appear that Monsieur le duc de Castries had things to say about the performance of the cavalry at Rossbach.

It might help,
Nigel

(PS In a nutshell, one of the issues at Rossbach was the death – and therefore lack of command – of so many officers. At Minden it would appear that general officers were not well acquainted with their commands)
