The link above has been disabled, but I was fortunate to visit the battlefield in 1994. I was able to visit the tiny museum, and see Poniatowski's saddle and sword. It was hard to see much, as the battlefield is so large. Still, I wouldn't trade that trip for the world! |

At the time, the museum was free to all. Still, the countryside was still unwinding from years under the Russian yoke, and things were in a great state of disrepair. I can only hope it got better. |
