No idea how these will fit into my background but at that price I'm not missing them.

Indeed! I even e-mail double checking that it hadn't forgotten to add postage to the paypal invoice!

republic of tolworth31 Jul 2012 9:29 a.m. PST

Me too. Should be fun to add to my 15mm 7TV stuff.

Eli Arndt31 Jul 2012 10:04 a.m. PST

Those look cool. Any chance we might see non-criminal Fabricant figs too? I can see such figs being useful in all sorts of scifi games.

Order sent!

Hi Eli,

Tom is working on another wave of figures. I'll mention the working fabricants for the range. they would be great scenery pieces.

And they will go great with our next Department project, which we will be revealing very soon. ;)

-Joe

Eli Arndt31 Jul 2012 11:31 a.m. PST

Coolness.

I imagine various Fabricants in various service, labor, and hazardous dute jobs. And of course there is always the scifi standard of the "pleasure unit".

Couldn't resist. Love the investigators!

I dissent but at approximately $1.60 USD per figure – I can't believe how much is being charged for them. Average price for 15 mm figures is one third of that. Never heard of this company before. Yes, nice figures – but I'll pass based on price, even with shipping included.

Personal logo MrHarold Sponsoring Member of TMP01 Aug 2012 11:18 p.m. PST

but I'll pass based on price, even with shipping included.

Really? Just for instance, in the US, the cheapest first class is 2.95. Priority is about $4 USD for the cheapest. It's approximately $5.45 USD for all the figures.

After the cheapest first class that's 2.50 for 6 unique sculpts, or 0.83 each.

And how many do you need? This isn't like you're building up an army. One or two packs at most.

I just have to disagree that the price is anywhere other than reasonable. In fact, I think it's an amazing deal for a small set of low run figures.

McWong7301 Aug 2012 11:28 p.m. PST

These are not exhorbitant prices IMHO. And if it helps a start up become a going concern, then even better!

Nandalf02 Aug 2012 3:18 a.m. PST

£3.50 GBP for 6 individual minis & post is really good!

In fact, I'd say it was a cunning take on a "pocket money" spend, £3.50 GBP all-in, for an impulse buy… Count me in!

Ben.

Eclipsing Binaries02 Aug 2012 3:39 a.m. PST

Only expensive if you fail to consider postage, and oif course the quality of the sculpts.

Eli Arndt02 Aug 2012 6:42 a.m. PST

Character models are usually going to be priced higher than bulk army builders.

You have to consider that the cost for mold setup is the same on these as it is for a mold full of combat poses (approx $200 USD). However, whereas a player might purchase five packs of troopers, he'll only likely ever buy a single pack of these. This doesn't even figure in the costs of the sculpts.

So, yes, this is a fair price. It may even venture into the realm of a loss lead considering postage is in there.

AVAMANGO02 Aug 2012 7:12 a.m. PST

I think these miniatures look fantastic and i am really looking forward to seeing this range grow with great excitement and i think Eli's idea to have some sculpted up as laborers is right on the button, road repairman, dustman, postman,(Benny Bling) used car salesman fabricants the list is endless…

BRUTALPAUL02 Aug 2012 9:45 a.m. PST

3,50 with postage worldwide expensive? I'm usually happy to pay this for postage alone ;-)

infojunky02 Aug 2012 2:20 p.m. PST

yah more droids… And some cool hunters. More Cyberpunk-ish figures are always welcome….

Early morning writer02 Aug 2012 8:40 p.m. PST

Please don't get me wrong, I don't mind paying premium for specialized figures but even the six pack is about ninety-four cents per figure (exchange rates fluctuate and the published rates you see are less than you are going to get unless you're moving about a million dollars worth of currency) and the two packs are close to the 1.50 or so. I have tens of thousands of 15's from all over the planet and my best estimate of an average price (and I'm not including the deep discount figures out there – that's just not fair) is pretty close to fifty cents a piece, I might go for a doubling for a special figure, but not triple. But, for me, there is really only one figure I'd want and even it is a bit out there for me.

Having said that, I wish these folks the best of luck in moving there product. But I do thing they need to be aware of pricing issues. It can make a huge difference in moving product – and moving product is what pays for the cost.

republic of tolworth06 Aug 2012 5:27 a.m. PST

The average price these days is between £2.50 GBP-£3 for 8 figures. So 3.50 for 6 unique including postage to ANYWERE is a stunning price. I fail to see what the whinging is all about.

arngrimson08 Aug 2012 4:47 a.m. PST

Well i've got my 6 lil minis in my hand right now & they're real neat; I've got to sort out a camera & figure out how to take good pics of all the minis I've got & get them on the net somewhere.

republic of tolworth08 Aug 2012 4:56 a.m. PST

Yep mine just popped through the door.
Very crisp castings, and well worth the money. I look forward to any more in the range.

BRUTALPAUL12 Aug 2012 12:31 p.m. PST

Mine arrived too and they look excellent!

AWuuuu12 Aug 2012 1:17 p.m. PST

Great miniatures, and there is truth that they are priced well into impulse whim range :)

SpaceJacker12 Aug 2012 4:17 p.m. PST

I have way too much to paint to even consider ordering these…. But I just did.

Great figures, pocket change price including postage to Australia. Well done Joe!

Rassilon14 Aug 2012 11:32 a.m. PST

Just got mine in the mail today! (Washington state)

They are beautiful sculpts! Thanks!!

Eclipsing Binaries14 Aug 2012 12:18 p.m. PST

I have mine. They arrived while I was on holiday and the packet was small enough not to be noticed by my wife when we got home. Great minis. Love them. Want more already.

McWong7314 Aug 2012 2:37 p.m. PST

Got mine too here in oz. Excellent figures.

republic of tolworth14 Aug 2012 2:50 p.m. PST

And ordered…

AWuuuu23 Aug 2012 2:04 p.m. PST

They are very very nice models !
They are so well proportioned and detailed that I suspected them to be over sized at first..

But No!
They are perfect sized with GZG and Khurasan!

boy wundyr x28 Aug 2012 3:48 p.m. PST

Hmmm, went to the shop and they only have one pair of figures available, anyone know if the others are out of stock?

Holy Roman Emperor Joseph III Fezian01 Sep 2012 4:41 p.m. PST

Hi Boy Wonder,

We're currently getting a restock from Effigy. It should be a week or so before we have them up again.

Thanks,
-Joe

Eclipsing Binaries03 Sep 2012 6:12 a.m. PST

I've added a size comparison pic or two of these to my blog, here link
