Anyone out there still playing Science v Pluck?

We had a game recently. I've started to blog about it here:

Yes, but it waits it's turn, as we cycle through history in our games. I'm impressed that you have 5 players, it's a lot of work.

I played it decades ago with Howard running it, and it was a hoot. And so I bought the rules. But I haven't the time or the minis to run it myself.

I have the rules, but lack players currently.

I have the rules, but don't play it, exactly. Instead I have used it to inspire me in my own scenario ideas.
Like an AWI scenrio book for rules you don't play, it is useful fior generating ideas.

Same for me. I've got the rules, but I like the Handbook or whatever it's called better.

Second blog entry posted, with scenario briefing:

I think a lot of posts reflect my experience talking to people about SvP, – "We'd like to play it but……"

5 players was a bit of a handful, but they were very well behaved. I'm afraid I overlooked bits of the rules at times in order to keep them all occupied. I made a couple of howlers, principally around missing die roll modifiers for the Brits, so they were a bit more flightly than they should have been.

Howard doesn't know the rules either.

"Howard doesn't know the rules either."

So he claims, but I've played in games with him, and he most certainly does when it suits him.

Very cool, please do continue to post on the game itself.

You might like some pictures … (Treb will doubtless have a photoplay when he gets to the action … but Harry Masterley had a photographer with him who has busily been tinting up the plates ..)…

The footbods left us with plenty of work to do

(hopefully the lesson will stay learnt)

We even had to rescue the chaps from this little mess …

But I will leave the story of the heroes of Tewphiyt to emerge from posterity …

Great to participate in another of Treb's occasional SvP excursions …

Yesthatphil has rather stolen my thunder with some cracking pictures of the game. If all goes well with the mobile broadband wilst on the train tomorrow the first actual account of the game will start to unfold.
