I found a bunch of photos from my 28mm colonial games and posted pics of the gunboats. The ships were used in a game inspired by the movie Nate and Hayes set in the Victorian South Pacific. Here is the link: link Thanks for looking. |

Very cool ships. And having spent a week on Ponape last month, I'm looking forward to your version of the island. |

Thanks all, I don't suspect that my Ponape looks much like the real thing, but it did provide some fun games. With any luck, I'll have the next batch of photos posted in a little while. |

Those were the days. I think my favorite memory was having the umm
working girls
try and provoke the French sailors into having some one on one discussions of current affairs. Talk about an exercise in 'soft power'!

I really enjoyed Nate and Hayes (the movie). Neat. After seeing these and some of the 28mm ships at Historicon, I am hugely shamed for abandoning a similar project (though in 15mm) years ago. Rob |

OK I am inspired. Like Katzbalger, after seeing your scratch builds and the wonderful game that was put on at Historicon I think it is time to pull out the t-square and get to work. As amazing as the ships are the photo of the scratch build deck gun is nothing short of fantastic. I am sure that was the work of many hours alone. |
