For period US INFANTRY ala "Wild Bunch" Opening scene army uniform. Leather or canvas for the straps and belts that is my question. Any pics? Thsnks for your help :)

If it is an officer with a sam brown belt, then brown leather, although they really did not wear them until the Army went overseas in 1917.

for everyone else, webbing- although… that being said if this is not strictly by the book troops then your mileage may vary.

Like any period there were lots of weird things going on and testing, but if you do canvas for every but officers you'll be OK. Even I won't nitpick you on that.
