Perhaps you can help. I'm looking for a game I got as a free download PDF on some site a few years ago.. maybe freewargames.uk but I'm not finding what I'm looking for there.

I liked the mechanics of this one.. you had a pool of dice to execute actions, all six siders. There would be red ones for attack, blue ones for defense, green ones for leadership, yellow ones for morale, and orange ones for some bit of chrome, "Psychic" I think. You had a limit to how many you could roll in a turn, maybe 6-8. You chose which dice were appropriate to what action was taking place on the battlefield.. for instance, you have six dice and are conducting an attack with space infantry. You select 4 sixes 2 blues and 1 green.. your opponent might select 4 blues, 2 reds (for a counterattack) and 1 green (to check against breaking under the attack).

I forget what this system was called, but it had been used for a few other game systems… this was kind of a homemade adaption of those rules for SF combat games.

Does this sound familiar to anyone, and can anyone turn me on to a source of the PDF again? I can't find it anywhere.
