The past couple years, someone (im pretty sure Battlefield of GF9?) has had the stand set up where you could fill a pint or quart container with as many bases as you could. Was that at Historicon this year?

Yes it was. It was Gale Force Nine and Battle Front.

I make sure to fill up a quart every time I go to a con… (not alcohol either!)

Yep the Battlefront booth had this deal again. I bought both a quart and a pint box and the staff encouraged you to pack it in and would tape the box shut as long as you could just touch the lip of the lids. How cool is that? I am sure they will do this again for Fall In and Cold Wars.

Yep, Gale Force 9 is rolling again with their "pints" and "quarts" of bases. I was very disappointed when they stopped it for awhile. Glad it's back!

They just need to plan to have more 40x30 bases. Those were sold out by midday on Friday. Those always seem to be the first to go.

You guys should know that Renaissance ink does the same deal at 10 bucks a Quart. He carries almost every size base you could want. If you don't see it email him. Great and fast service. I have picked up 6 different size Quarts from him.

Thanks,

John

Yes, I did get a pint of 20 x 20mm, but was dissapointed that there were no 25 x 50mm rectangular bases there this time.

I am aware of Renaissance Ink's bases, but in the batch that I picked up lots of the RI bases frayed at the corners. If you want round bases that shouldn't be a problem, but I looked and about 1/2 of the bases I picked up became frayed after about 6 months. Even though BF is a bit more expensive I have only had one base fray and I have at least 7 full size FOG armies mounted on them.

I missed that.

I did see the booth selling figures for $18 USD a pound.
