So, I recently finished two Artillery Guns for my growing Russian army. Again, these are based for Napoleon's Battles. There are presented on the Work Bench page of my website. commandpostproductions.co

Thanks for looking.

Well done, and congratulations, Dave. You can get a quick and easy "upgrade" of a paint job by using "the dip". Search on here for details. It does shading for you, and covers a multitude of little problems.

The OG figures are very good, especially when you consider how cheap they are with the army card.

For buttons, you could try using a gel ink pen. It is a bit easier to wield than a tooth pick.

Keep up the good work.

Nice job Dave. I enjoyed your French and Austrians too.

I've never heard of those Gel ink pens before. Do you think they would work for shako cords?

What is the dip method? Thanks

Here's one version link

I started this way and was happy with the results. I now finish my figures in a mix of Future acrylic floor wax and water (say 1 to 5 parts) mixed with a little India ink.

Minwax takes longer to dry and is foul stuff.

Here's a post on my blog about it ("Magic Wash", as opposed to the Dip proper), along with some references; be sure to read the comments my the originator of the particular formula I experimented with. There are many previous posts here on TMP about the subject as well. I like it; like any technique, it takes some practice for the best results.
