I;m thinking about giving the new reto sci-fi RPG "Cosmic Patrol" are try, the rules light narrative heavy style with all players switching out the role of GM or Prime Narrator intrigues me. Has any one else tried this game and if so what did you think?

Do you have a link?

I looked it over at the local shop and read what I could about it online, and I still don't think I get it. The game's setting appears to be very cool and flavorful, but the mechanics strike me as being too far out there for any group of gamers I've ever met. Makes Amber Diceless and Everway look rules-heavy by comparison.

Regretfully, I think I'll stick to Savage Worlds' Slipstream for my retro-sf instead:

Rassilon, the link is pretty simple:

RPGnow has it in. pdf format quite cheap! If I had paid more I might question the value but for the price I quite like it.

Ah, so they do. Perhaps I'll go that route – it certainly looked like a worthy read, but at $25 USD with little chance of it seeing use I was balking. Heaven knows it won't be the only unused RPG I own. :)

I looked through it and was turned off. I hate systems with skill names a mile long.

Tried the free download, but it only got about halfway through before it hung up.

I attempted to download it a couple of times, without success.

On a related note is anyone else unable to access the official forums or is it it just me?
