When I was growing up in the 80's every bag of green plastic army men seemed to come with an armored car and a plastic tank. This seems to have been a tradition for many many years. However now that I am into buying and converting plastic toy soldier vehicles I can find bunches of different types of tanks but not a single armored car, which seems odd since there seems to be lots of cool modern armored cars to base them on. So my question is, what happened to all the toy armored cars? If you know where to find any in the approx 1/42-1/32 scales please let me know.

You are probably looking for the Processed Plastic Timmee Toys Armored car.

Google it, and you'll find alot of dealers selling it. They seem to go for about 8-10 bucks each these days, though here's a dealer who has tan or green versions for $3.75 USD USD!

Here's a member who converted them into Blood Pact Chimeras.

That's hilarious, as I too used those very plastic toys for my first chimeras ( although mine were for Planetary Defense Force loyalists).

Yeah those are one of them, and its fantastic that you found a site that sells them for so little! However I seem to remember their being armored cars that looked like Humber scout car,or this link </FONT> but I seem to remember there lots of different types, and none of them were $30 USD or full models.
