I gotta ask: Is there ANY chance that Anthony Barton might add some figures for his ACW range? What say?

I am guessing no. He is concentrating on 20mm and only recently did more 18mm figures (ancients because of the German museum request and Napoleonics after some lengthy begging from Eureka :-)

But hey, I have been proven wrong many times :-)

Have a look at what Blue Moon is doing. Really nice figures….

I kind've like the pictures I've seen of the Blue Moon artillery crews and I like their guns, but the pictures I've seen of their infantry and cavalry aren't really grabbing me….

You never know. He has said that most of his income comes from making wargaming figures so it is clearly worth his while to continue to do so. Five years ago, I'm not sure that anybody thought he'd launch back into such substantial 1815 additions to the Napoleonic range.

I've often thought about doing ACW simply because Barton does them. If he began adding to the range I would almost certainly cave in.

In the meantime you might want to drop Nic at Eureka an email and ask him. Even if nothing else he will almost certainly mention it to Tony B.

Good point: I'd forgotten about his 1815 Napoleonics additions……Sure would love to see an ACW revisit…

I don't think it will interrupt the 1815 range being designed but it might just get a look in before he retires.

Go to Scalecreep.ccm his site may not be fully up but he has some great figures he had made for the ACW.

Blue Moon look fantastic painted up. I promise you, you will not be disappointed. Someone that paints for hire painted up quite a few and he really, really says great things about them.

I've heard of no plans that Anthony is interested in expanding any of his old ranges. He's apparently had eye problems, and Eureka had a tough time getting him to make even a few additions to his AB Napoleonics range.

I've painted up hundreds of Blue Moon ACW figures. I believe they have become the new standard in 15/18mm American Civil War figures. If there are any doubters out there, don't take my word, check out world-class painter/wagamer Scott MacPhee's informative review from 2011 …

Mcphee's pics are a great example of how almost any figs can be used in a game even if a little different in scale! I love the Blue Moon figs, but I'm still waiting for the special figures that I will use for 1st Bull Run. Hurry them up, Russ!
