Interesting that the musicians were in blue.
Have my doubts about the cavalry.

well, the cavalry has nothing to do with Neufchatel? They're simply the 2nd Lighthorse-Lancers.

I suspect that mon ami Blancard.
But… as they were with the rest of Neufchatel plates…
I read, a long time ago, that Berthier decided to conform a Cavalry Squadron, but maybe there were the "Gardes d'Honneur".

I seem to recall a cavalry unit of Neufchatel, white uniform, dragoons with classic Line brass helmet. My Napoleonic stuff if packed away for the move that may never happend.

The Garde d'Honneur of Neuchatel wore a very striking uniform indeed, a bit like the French guard dragoons but in white instead of green, I believe they never went into "action" , but still a nice uniform
