Hi, I was considering ordering some 10mm ECW/TYW models from Irregular miniatures to bolster my Pendraken/Old Glory army with some additional poses and numbers. Now I read some reviews and comparisons and it seems like Irregular's minis are much smaller/less bulky than Pendraken's. Is this true for the ECW/TYW range as well or do they mix well? Thanks in advance, guys! |

Thanks for asking this question. I am quite amazed at how nice the Irregular 10mm line is from pictures on their site (at least the ECW line as I can't tell from the painted examples of their other periods). Looks this size of figures has better detail than their other sizes ;-) Not specific to ECW is this site: ricks-warmaster.com Brumbauer's link in the Forums/Blog link has some ECW figures side by side but not Irregular's. Division by Division is AIM/Minifigs now, so don't get too confused. Also, Pendraken's sculpting quality has improved by leaps and bounds beyond what is pictured here: link I would say you want to look at AIM/Minigfigs as well based on Brumbauer's Warmaster site comparisons. |

Thanks a lot for the reply and the links. These Division after Division minis look great but I'm afraid that AIM/Minifigs are out of business. Do you know of any other company having bought the moulds/licence to make these minis? |

My WSS are mainly Pendraken but I have some Irregular cavalry, they look good together, even though the Irregualr figures are a bit slighter
Here the left hand unit is Pendraken, most of the right hand unit is Irregular I have a few irregular infantry, and I like them less, they seem a bit flat. |

Thank you, fred12df. They do look slighter indeed but I will just give it a try. I won't mix them much anyway and nobody will probably notice if the Irregular ones are standing on little bumps. ;) |

GFI 'should' be coming back online this year. Last I heard was that he was due back from military deployment this Fall. I think I will post a question to the main board and ask what is going on. |

Oh, this is good news. Yes, would be great if you could ask. |

Hi, Guys. Actually, the AIM ranges will be avialble from Dan Levy, shortly. I am working on identifying the mold contents to packs for him now. I will be here in Germany until the end of January it looks like. Dan will be casting for me my range. I am hoping to be able to add new figures, soon. The N scale moderns (as existed when I left) will also be coming back as well as N scale WWI that were in the process of releasing when I left. Those designs (WWI and many of the moderns) originated from Dan, too. I am waiting on some test casts to arrive from Dan so I can make them available to Europe, as well. I am afraid that the Minifigs portion of GFI will remain dormant. I have arranged for the master and production molds to be kept safe for possible sale to the next legitimate owner of the North American franchise holder, whomever that may be. We added a LOT of 15mm SYW scults to the range just before i left. in fact, many of the 50+ new sculpts have yet to make it into production molds. Until then, Dave Ryan at Caliver Books is doing his best to meet all demands for Minifigs! It's nice to be remembered. Thanks! v/r Tom Dye |

Pendraken's ECW are lovely figures I am in the process of assembling early war armies using them and they paint up delightfully |

@Dye4Minis: Thanks very much for the info. I'm very much looking forward to the AIM minis being available again. All the best to you. @Sandinista: Yup, they make up the main part of my armies as well. Just painting their Croats. They paint up nicely indeed. Right, I got my Irregular minis now and I havce to say that they go splendidly along with the Pendraken and Old Glory figures. No height differences as far as I can see. Some of them are a tad slimmer but not really notably. Especially next to OG's they look proper. Pendraken Minis' ones are a bit more "heroic" in scale so it's actually the heads that are the most problem if any. But as I said, no trouble combining the ranges. The horses Irregular do are quite a bit slimmer than Pendraken's but still no read trouble in sight there. It's hardly visible unless you take one single mini of each range and compare them unpainted next to one another. Again, to the OG minis, there is hardly a difference to be noted. Irregular minis' 10mm sheep are glorious. ;) |
