Nice painting.
Scallop lace is much easier on 28s than 15s.

Cheers,

Nice work – those Mindens do give a "lean and mean" look to the Prussians

Awesome job! When I forst opened up th epost, I thought they were the 1/24th Preiser figs! (Then I took the time to read they were Mindens!)

Man, I really have to get caught up on Minden! Those are simply awesome! A (Andy?) Oneil! You are an artist!

Great looking figures – sure to convey dread to the opposing Austrians.

Nice. What did you use for the straw color?

Cardinal Hawkwood08 Jul 2012 1:58 a.m. PST

aren't the collars straw as well?

cncbump08 Jul 2012 3:22 a.m. PST

Glad you like em.

Yes the hat lacing is pretty easy actually since it's sticking out on the figure.

For the straw. There's orange + white in the deepest shadow.
Yellow mid, naples yellow first highlight then + white for final highlight.

The mid is darker than I'd use for a smooth blended sort of look because i want a "foundry" multi layered look and hence contrast.

Cheers,
Andy O'Neill.

Those are lovely minis and beautiful painting. What is the width of the element bases, please?
