Anyone know if these had reversed colours?

No reversed colors. Instead ….

For 1801-1825, uniforms's description link , which is a translation of listat.ru/T11/T11_01.htm – in the Russian version, you will find, by number, links to the illustrations.

FOr the description:
"Trumpeters …. a red plume instead of white …. wings or swallow's nests of the same color as the collar, and by trimming in the form of sewn-on woollen tape, 1 1/4 inches wide. In the Order Cuirassier Regiment this tape was of three black and two orange stripes, following the pattern for the ribbon of the Order of St. George (Illus. 1405). In the other Cuirassier regiments the tape is white with two stripes of the same color as the collar and, between them, similarly colored checks (Illus. 1406)."

Thanks. I am painting a unit that I bought, part- painted, off E-Bay and the trumpeter had been done with a crimson coat. I had a feeling that I had read trumpeters had white coats, with distinctive regimental lace.Repaint needed!
