Hi guys. Yes it's that bloke who doesn't know nuthin about the seven years war with another newbie question. Does anyone do decals or transfers suitable for SYW cavalry? Specifically, Prussian. I'm thinking in terms of the sabretaches and shabraques and those crowns and R s. I have some slight graphics skills and a colour laser. I can manipulate images. I could potentially build scaleable vector images in such a way that changing colour size and orientation is trivial. Printing my own decals is an option. I design and build software rather than graphics design so.. I'd rather just spend a few quid really. Any ideas/advice? Cheers, Andy |

I put the quid to better use and painted the cipher FR on the items you mentioned and on all my Prussian flags. These are 15mm figures. The MT for the Austrians and the multi-coloured flames required some patience. Thank heavens for French simplicity. Cheers, |

Ah, yes of course I forgot to mention scale. These are 28mm. I printed my flags. Bought a bunch and didn't like any of them for various reasons. |

These are some transfers from Little Big Men Studios, for Hussars. Really nice. |

What nationality are you doing? The "FR" cypher is easy. I do them by marking them in with an ultra-fine Sharpie pen, or technical pen. Then painting the gold/yellow/white/silver over top. It kind of follows then pen ink. |
