Hi guys, looking for uniforms for the Infantry Regiment present at the battle of Raszyn including the grenadiers. Uniforms for the foot batteries would be helpful too. Ive been finding mixed information online so far.

Cheers.

the plate shows more or less the 1806 uniform, in 1809 no waistbelts but a shoulder belt, calfskin packs worn at the back and no longer at the hip and the lapels ware hooked down as far was possible to create the immagination of straight ones (the most lower part hover could not be hooked together and by that creating a very specific outlook.)

Thanks much. Does anyone know off hand which Regiment it was that was at Raszyn? Both army lists I have just list two line battalions and 1 Grenadier battalion.

Volume III of Gills 1809 Trilogy (a must buy, BTW!), lists the Saxon detachment, as of April 6, 1809 as:

1/von Oebschelwitz IR….503 men
Grenadier Battalion von Einsiedel…501 men
Grenadier Detachment von Rechten….257 men
2 sqs Saxon Hussars….181 men
Saxon Artillery…. 451 men with 14 guns

He further comments that the Einsiedel battalion was made up of the Grenadiers from the Koenig and Dyherrn regiments, whilst the von Rechten detacment, not surprisingly, was composed of the Grenadiers of that same Regiment.
