Dear all,

It's been another busy week here at Foundry, with our great reorganisation process well under way.

One immediate issue we've been looking at are our postal prices and we were pleased to find that shipping abroad has dropped phenomenally in the last few years. So much so that as of today we can announce that the basic international postage rate has been dropped to £5.00 GBP. UK customers also benefit from this price review with p&p rates halved to £4.00 GBP. While this is a good start, we're going to be putting a lot of effort into making it even cheaper in the future.

We can also announce that we have re-released the massive Malburian and Franco-Prussian War ranges in their entirety, to sit alongside the complete English Civil War and Thirty Years War ranges. This represents literally thousands of models, with the Franco-Prussian range alone numbering 128 packs! It may take a little time to track down some of the more elusive moulds, but we plan on bringing back our entire back catalogue.

If you have any suggestions please feel free to get in touch.

Yours sincerely,

Neil Littlewood, Whirling Plenipotentiary.

That's great news. I just made some tests on their website and the shipping cost is now a flat 6.22$US on all orders under 140$
(free shipping for orders over 140$).

I wonder if they will do retro-active refunds?

Put in a couple of sizable orders from around Christmas to now.

Would be a good show of faith to refund some of that dosh!

If only they would lower the prices on their figures now.

The Warstore is still the the most economical way to get Foundry, even when Foundry has their 20% off sales.

They have lowered their US prices 25%, which makes them comparable in price to most manufacturers out there. If you buy an army deal, you are paying about $1.70 USD a fig.

Not since they changed their foreign rate policy, Schogun:

Infantry Foundry pack from The Foundry (regular price) : 18.58$US
Infantry Foundry pack from the Warstore : 21.99$US

Their prices are now quite similar to Perrys and other 28mm manufacturers

Edit : 79thPA beat me to it.

If figures were expensive, we wouldn't have lead piles.

I've been considering buying some medieval troops from them… would be my first Foundry purchase ever.

Definitely a smart business move for them.

So, there is a new owner? I can't believe Ansell would do this.

Thanks,

John

Shipping costs abroad actually went up substantially this year.
This is simply more Foundry spin on the fact that for years they have been substantially overcharging on delivery.

Fig prices and shipping costs was the main reason I rarely bought from Foundry. With this news I'm more than happy to spend my money with them. Thank you

Foundry actually becoming relevant again? The Apocalypse must be coming… and now to place an order. Good job Foundry, even if a bit late.

Garand07 Jul 2012 8:13 a.m. PST

Well this sucks. I placed a "test order" around a week ago…at the OLD shipping costs. If only I had waited… :(

Damon.

That was my thought, too.

"Shipping costs abroad actually went up substantially this year."

That is correct. They have skyrocketed, in fact.

I think this is great news. I've built entire armies using other manufactures miniatures because I thought the WF stuff was way overpriced to U.S. customers. But now, I am actually considering buying directly from WF. I never thought that would happen. It is like a whole new company has been opened up to us. And now that their postage is reasonable as well, I guess it is time to start buying.
