The Battle Barn Gamers will be running an Ironclad game Friday at Historicon 2012. The game is based on the 2 day battle in Hamptom Roads. Hope to meet a few of you TMP fans in Fredricksburg. Game PEL/Info below:

F-186 Battle for Hampton Roads, Mar, 8-9 1862
American Civil War: 2 PM: Length: 3: Hosted by: Ronald Bingham: Scale:1/600: Rules: Victory on the River: No. of Players: 8.

This ACW Ironclad game will be based on the two day Battle
for Hampton Roads, March 8-9, 1862. Players will command
the CSS Virginia, USS Monitor, wooden ships from both navies, Fort Monroe along with Confederate and Union shore batteries.
We will be using "Victory on the River" Ironclad rules. No
players under 15 yrs old.

In prep for H'con our club played Victory on the River last week.

The CSA Navy and shore batteries won a minor victroy hs they only allowed 1.5 out of 4 "Cairo" class ironclads and one steamer to break the rebel defenses and sail up river. The CSA sank the steamer, two of the ironclads and criticaly injured a 3rd ship.

The Battle Barn is looking forward to running Hampton oads next Friday. See you in F'burg.

The Hamptom Roads game was a blast to GM and from the smiles on the players faces they had fun too…

I hope to post a short AAR and photos soons on the Battle Barn club web page. I will link it here when I do.

John sorry the game cost you money! That is the hazzards of playing new games at an HMGS convention! LoL!!!! Glad you liked the VotR rules.
