I have the new Space Hulk game and would like to use the Terminators for skirmish style games. I plan to add a bit to this with a Dreadnought and also wanted a transport vehicle.I don't plan to play in official games so was after something that would be like a Land Raider vehicle without the GW price tag.I haven't played 40K since Rogue Trader days so not sure if there are alternatives that might look the part? Any advice appreciated!
cheers

Damn, just realized I have in a box somewhere one of the models of the Alien movie marines APC.. Think that will do the trick nicely.. Now just need some painting scheme ideas… ?? but the Pig Iron transports look very cool..maybe I need two transports..who doesn't?!

If its the 1/35 Aliens APC you might be better off Ebaying it and using the proceeds to buy two of whatever you need :)

It is the 1/35 APC, rare I believe! ? However I did build it years ago so probably not worth as much as one still in the box… Should have left it unopened!

To me, the obvious choice is going to be this:

Both of those are too small.

This is probably the right size:

At $29.55 USD + $5.93 USD it is a lot less than $75 USD minus 20% (which you'd get because nobody in the USA is dumb enough to order from GW direct I hope)

^^That would be cool.

Pimp it out with some GW lascannons, stowage and bits from an online bitz retailer like Hoard o' Bits (or your own bits box) and you're set… might even be able to use it at the GW store ;-)

There is a BillyV police set that has an m113 in it for about 4 bucks. You can get it from the Hobby Bunker ? I think it was John Leahy that did a demo on converting it to a rhino ? I have a few and the cuppola pops off and will take a GW turret. Just a thought ?

I foolishly assumed Admiral Yi's $75 USD figure was typical anti-GW exaggeration/frothery.

I stand corrected.

YIKES.

Should've stocked up during the "2 for $19.99 USD" days of yesteryear (and 3 Rhinos or 30 Marinss for the same). Then again, I didn't have a job back then. :p

Not any cheaper on Ebay at the moment, but a great tank to keep an eye on just in case a bargain comes along.
