Quite so!

Didn't expect to get out of that one with me skin.

In Flintloque/Slaughterloo (the model on which I base Halfling stats) the little fellahs are fragile but the devil himself in close combat.

Part of the result is no doubt due to my using rules designed for sci fi fire fights rather than black powder combat. Even with the low tech level weapons this felt rather more like Omdurman than the Cape Frontier wars.
