Several threads on this forum have asked which 25mm WW1 figures are of comparable size. I would agree with those who have contended that Brigade Games and Old Glory are a close match. The four links below offer side-by-side comparison views of equivalent Austro-Hungarian WW1 figures from both companies. Infantry loading link Infantry advancing link Infantry firing link Officer link The BG figures are in knee socks associated with the Landwehr units (except for the officer in puttees), the OG figures are in ankle leggings. The front of the caps on the BG figures stand a bit higher than the OG caps (which also have the early-war oak leaves attached). As far as quality of figures go, it's certainly a matter of personal taste. I really like both companies' offerings equally well. The BG figures are cleaner (virtually no filing required), while the OG figures have more bulk to them. Cheers, Don |

Renegade early war Austro-Hungarians. Acheson Creations, Late war Austro-Hungarians. Battle Honours? HLBS Co, a tad on the smaller side, 26-27mm. |

Thanks for posting those pics. I assumed the Brigade figs were much larger. Cool to see I was wrong! |

I may need to pick up some of those OG to go with my BG figures in ankle leggings. |

Having missed some previous posts, heres a note about our Austro Hungarian range (duplicate post to other threads) Our miniatures are 28mm, so will be slightly larger than the OG range. --> We have a range of Late war Austrians, and produce some in the caps as well as Command figs, details here link Look at AH001, AH008, AH009, AH011 AND 12 kind regards Rob Broom scarabminiatures.com warandconquest.co.uk |
