Other than Deadlands: The Great Rail Wars, is there a good 28mm western game that you can add horror elements to?
I am guessing we are looking for something that is like Deadlands, but we don't really like the Savage Worlds rules…

Thanks!

A friend of mine runs "Gutshot" with horror elements.

I kind of remember Ed from THW (or someone on their yahoo list) mentioning a horror expansion for their Wild West game.

"The Rules With No Name" had a horror expansion.

Ed from THW announced (in February, I think) an expansion for CR3 and Six Gun Sound entitled High Moon: Dead Reckoning. At that time, it was planned for release within a couple of months (IIRC). But I don't think it has been released yet.

Strange Aeons ports quite well to the weird west, the weapon selection has quite a bit of choice for arrows, dynamite, etc.
Change the clothes and the date and presto! Boot Hill comes alive again, crawling with every sort of fiend that a more fiendish mind hath conceived.I'd like to see a band of furry chap wearing, peyote poppin',PAGANS vs Marshal Joe Friday(plus nameless horror of course)Deputy Pip Streebek and the schoolmarm Connie Swales.

Richard, Speaking of Strange Aeons, when/how do you want me to pay you?

Yep, High Moon but it's a bit behind in development. Maybe this year?

Malifaux has that feel, but it might be more trouble than it is worth to make the figures match the stats.

Chaos in Carpathia has got free rules additions to play Wild West games. These are also fully compatible with Chaos in Cairo. The Carpathia rules have got monster hunters, treasure hunters, vampires, werewolves and special characters like Frankenstein and his monster. Cairo has got archaeologists, mummies (you can play these pretty much as any undead group), cultists and dervishes, plus more special characters. Lots of room to play around with here to suit your games.

Here are the free rules and characters for the West:

I use "dead walk again" for multiplayer zombie mayhem.
Its a free download.

Though we normally use DWA for zombie games, I did run a Gutshot game and integrated Zombies (unknown to the players at the time) into the game.
