Port Arthur

The pop song playing during the trailer is a little much, but the Japanese charges look pretty cool

I wish I wonder if it has subtitles

At the :30 second mark I was expecting Godzilla to show up.

And does the Japanese Film Industry give out an award in the category of bug-eyed over-acting?

Netflix instant doesn't have it. Drat.

I recently saw "City of Life, City of Death" about the Rape of Nanking, a recent Chinese movie. It was pretty good. It had an excellent ambush of a Japanese platoon early in the film that involved an FT-17. However it had no sub-titles. With my two words of Japanese, ten of Chinese, the odd snippets of French, German and English I got the drift of most of it. Sure would have been nice if they had sub-titles.

Yes saw it many years ago there is another one called "Yellow Sea"

BTW I went to Dalian the nearest city to Port Arthur now called Lushun I could not get to see the old city area and defenses It is still a naval port so foreigners are restricted from buying tickets to go there on tours and it is not advisable to show up without prior permission from the PSB in Beijing. This involves a lot of paperwork and you get a minder.
