Hi I've recently started up my own UK based painting service at theminiaturepainter.com I have many years of experience in painting figures, and am driven by my enthusiasm for, and enjoyment of painting. I offer a variety of different standards for the models I paint, ranging from a functional and basic tabletop standard, up to high quality showcase standard. I will paint any scale or type of miniature. My prices are very competitive, and I can offer discounts on large orders. I understand that being one of the first customers to a new service can be risky, without the endorsements of previous customers. Accordingly I am offering a 15% discount to my first five commissions, and can do little else but promise a responsive, friendly and reliable service. If anyone is interested then my website contains info such as pricing guides, galleries of my work, and my contact email. Otherwise, I'd be very grateful for any feedback regarding my website, as I'm keen to ensure it is as clear and easy to navigate as possible. Thanks Will |

I had a look
well laid out and all questions I had were answered through the site. You do have two typos in your paragraph on freehand ( quote and complexity but that's just being picky
.:). I like your command upgrade idea as well. Good luck, Cheers Jon |

Hi Will, Where do you live? If you are in the South you could offer your services to the Wargames Holiday Center. If you get that job, then people who go to the WHC will give you commissions on the back of that work. Disclosure – I own Reinforcements by Post, in Bangladesh. We do work for the WHC. But I'm stopping custom work in March 2013. There is loads of work for everyone anyway. Cheers, Neil reinforcementsbypost.com |

am I the only one who thinks you would have to be a supporting member to tout like this? and in touting like this one usually has to do it in the marketplace area?? otherwise why do we have
etc |

Supporting member, yes, I think you are right, Cardinal. Best to sign up, Will, it is worth it. I thought the painting services section was fair game, to supporting members? |

I appreciate the response to this, thanks everyone Jon: Thanks for having a look through the website, and for noticing the typos! I'v since corrected them and appreciate the feedback. Neil: thanks a lot the advice, I do in fact live very close to that venue so I'll investigate that, it looks like a great opportunity. Cardinal: I apologise for posting the advert here if you feel it is inappropriate. I had seen several others advertise their services here and presumed that the marketplace was aimed more at people buying and selling goods. As for being a supporting member I confess that I wasn't actually aware of the difference as I'm new to TMP, but I will look into it now that I know how it all works. |

No you do not need to be a supporting member if you are a business. (The amount of times people get this wrong and have a go at people is bonkers, nothing like a warm welcome eh?) You were correct Will, the marketplace is for non business type people selling their own things.
Businesses can advertise here for free. Bill (The owner of TMP) has said so many times.

Thanks Michael for clearing this up, and thanks everyone for their response so far, it's been great. It looks like I have one more 15% discount to offer if anyone else is interested. Thanks for the support Will |
